A little about me…

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to get to know me!

My name is Melissa. I live in Canada and I have 3 kids and a wonderful husband/taste tester!

Growing up, my mom used to call me Mella. It started when I was a toddler and couldn’t say “Melissa”. It stuck and it’s been my nickname ever since.

I love all things food. When we travel, food destinations are musts for us. I am constantly on a hunt for inspiration and for new flavors to bring into my home.

I started cooking in my twenties when I lost my mom, and well, had to figure out how to feed myself! I definitely started with baking, anything from cookies to cakes to pies and everything in between. As time went on, I started to really become fascinated with cuisine in general. Fine dining fascinates me, but comfort food is my love language.

Everything you find here comes from a place of love, and (sometimes to a fault), perfection. I’ve kept records of hundreds of recipes, scattered in my phone, on paper, and on social media. I encourage you to check out my Instagram page, especially as I develop this website.

Once I am all set up and going, this website will be an extension of my social media page. You’ll find detailed step by step instructions, pictures, and answers to commonly asked questions.

Food is how I show my love, and I hope you feel that in every recipe here.
