I used to run to Starbucks at the very onset of a cold for their infamous Cold Buster Tea. Then I made it myself and will never go back. Now I drink a pot of this every time I feel a little tickle in my throat. Lots of fresh lemon and honey help boost your immune system, and you could easily substitute ginger tea for an added benefit.

Here’s how I made it!

To a teapot, add in your honey. You can start with 1-2 tbsps then increase it if you want it sweeter.

Heat your lemonade until almost boiling, then add it and stir to dissolve the honey.

Add your water and tea bags and steep for 10 minutes. Serve with lemon slices.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tea bags, one peach or orange and one peppermint

  • 2 cups of lemonade, steamed until hot

  • 4 cups of boiling water

  • 2-3 tbsp of honey, to taste

  • Fresh lemon slices

Directions:

  1. In a pot, add your honey and dissolve with the hot water/lemonade then steep with the tea bags, and enjoy with fresh lemon.
