Dishes in 15 minutes often save me on weeknights when I’m short on time. Buy tail-on peeled and de-veined shrimp to really speed things up with this amazing spicy, Smokey garlic shrimp. I roasted a pan of vegetable and tossed it with orzo for a quick base, but you could have this with rice or just some crusty bread to soak up all that sauce!

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 16-20 deveined and cleaned shrimp (tails on!)

  • 2 tsps smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp butter, divided

  • 2 tbsp EVOO

  • 3 tbsp minced garlic (8-10 cloves!)

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

  • 1/4 cup rose or white wine

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Parsley to garnish

Directions:

  1. In a pan big enough to hold all the shrimp in a single layer, over medium-high heat, add your EVOO and 1 tbsp butter.

  2. Season the shrimp with paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper and place in a single layer in the pan. Cook for 1 minute or so and then flip.

  3. Add your garlic and chili flakes and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  4. Add wine and cook just until shrimp is cooked then add the remaining butter and lemon juice.

  5. Taste for seasonings then garnish with parsley and serve.
