Cast Iron Pizzas come out with crispy bottoms, chewy crusts and taste better than anything you can get delivered. Best part? They take 10 mins in the oven. Get your favorite toppings out and let’s make pizza!

Here’s how I made it!

Place your cast iron in the oven and preheat it all the way to 500 F.

Roll out your pizza dough (homemade OR store bought) into a circle that will fit in your pan.

When the oven reaches full temperature, CAREFULLY remove the cast iron pan and place on the stove top or oven safe surface.

Drizzle a couple tbsp of olive oil into the hot pan and lay the pizza dough into the cast iron pan. Spread your sauce and toppings all over and then using a brush, brush a little oil along the crust.

Pop it in the oven for 10-11 minutes until it’s golden brown and crisp.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough (homemade or storebought)

  • EVOO

  • Sauce, fresh mozzarella and toppings of choice

Directions:

  1. Place a cast iron pan into the oven and turn the temperature right up to 500 degrees. You want the oven HOT.

  2. Flour your work surface and roll your dough into a circle that will fit the cast iron.

  3. Once preheated, very carefully remove the pan. Place it on the stove top, or on an oven safe surface. Drizzle with a couple tablespoons of EVOO.

  4. Move the dough right into the pan. Spoon your sauce onto the pizza and spread it around, leaving a 1 inch border. Add the rest of your toppings, then brush the crust with a little more oil

  5. Place it into the hot oven and bake for 10-11 minutes. If you are making a thin crust pizza, check it at the 7 or 8 minute mark.

  6. Carefully transfer to a cutting board to cool slightly then slice and enjoy.
